The second chakra is located 1-2 inches below the navel or branching to left side at spleen and most people have a concentration of orange energy in this area. The color associated is orange and the antidote is indigo. The tone is o as in home and the note is d. The element is water and the sense is taste. The statement is "I desire". The second chakra is about friendliness, creativity, sexuality and emotions. It governs our sense of self-worth, confidence in our creativity and ability to relate to others in an open and friendly way. Orange is a sociable color. This chakra is the center of gut-level intuition and since a woman's womb is here it may explain why this is often called women's intuition. It is a basic visceral feeling. It is also the sexual center which is why women tend to be emotional about sexual relations. The orange energy gives us the ability to reach out, to radiate, to extend ourselves. It gives us the forcefulness to reach up to our heart and to our soul. Balanced energy in the second chakra characteristics are friendly, optimistic, concerned for others, sense of belonging, creative, imaginative, intuitive, attuned to your own feelings, gutsy sense of humor, and the highest goal is to have a wonderful orgasm. Excessive energy could be emotionally explosive, aggressive, overly ambitious, manipulative, caught up in illusion, overindulgent, self-serving, obsessed with thoughts of sex and see people as sex objects, requiring frequent sexual gratification. Deficient energy could be extremely shy, timid, immobilized by fear, overly sensitive, self-negating, resentful, bury your emotions, burdened by guilt, distrustful, clinging sexual energy and frigid or impotent. The glands and organs influenced by the second chakra are the skin, mammary glands, female reproductive organs and kidneys. Illnesses and ailments to be treated with orange are kidney weakness, constipation, muscle cramps and spasms, lack of energy, allergies, and repression/inhibition. The tiger's eye is a great stone for opening this chakra. Children are often drawn to the tiger's eye. It speaks to the sense of touch and gives comfort through its cool smoothness. It connects you to the rich browns of the earth and blends that energy with the gold of the Divine Light. Bring this stone to your third eye and it will help you to see the best in everyone and to feel happy about walking on the path of life. This is a stone of courage, giving strength and endurance. This is a sensuous stone often favored as a gift between lovers. Carnelian is a red-orange agate which generates warmth and relaxation, with a strong masculine energy and is good for the sexual organs and energy. It is the ginseng of the gemstones. Children are drawn to this stone because it gives strength, humor and optimism. This is a stone of worldly success. It grounds you in the present and gives protection against negative energy. It is fiery, intense and assertive and will enhance your self-confidence. I believe the most sensual asset a person has is their confidence; that twinkle in a woman's eye or the swagger of a man. I also believe if you wish to know what if feels like to be close to God, just have an orgasm. Happy endings. xo

first chakra (root, base, kundalini center)
The first chakra concerns your connection to the earth, your birthplace, culture, foundations and influenced by early relationships. It is the center of physical energy and vitality. It is grounded in material reality, business and possessions. The color associated is red and antidote, blue. The dazzling red will intensify whatever you feel. It warms and speeds the molecule and is the color of passion. It is used sparingly in flowers and only for emphasis in sunsets. It is used to arouse attention and interest. Passion has its place as it is a source of power and self-confidence. But red can be frightening when overused such as anger and violence. A balanced energy in the first chakra has characteristics such as being centered, grounded, healthy, fully alive, unlimited physical energy, can manifest abundance, affectionate and able to trust others. Excessive energy is egotistic, domineering, greedy, addicted to wealth, nervous sexual energy and may be sadistic. Deficient energy shows lack of confidence, weak, can't achieve goals, self-destructive, suicidal, feels unlovable and possibly masochistic. Glands and organs influenced by this chakra are blood, spine, nervous system, bladder, male reproductive organs, testes and vagina. Some illinesses to be treated with red are depression, fearful, debilitated, spaced out, low blood pressure, bladder infections, sluggish digestion, flaky skin, shock, anemia, poor circulation, impotence, frigidity, infertility, menopause.
The tone is e as in red and the note is c. The element is earth and sense is smell. Statement used is "I want stuff." Stones used to heal and arouse, invigorate energy, influencing the kundalini energy are red garnet, used to recall past life experiences if placed over the third eye, improves fertility and is good for low back pains and premenstrual cramps. Black obsidian, which is a wonderful stone for grounding and keeps you connected with your body. It cleanses toxins from the liver, so it is good for people exposed to environmental pollutants and anger. Smoky quartz has a positive force, a strong electrical charge which gives it the ability to disperse dark energies. It brings the white energy of the crown down to the base chakra, helping us to accept and feel good about every aspect of ourselves. Since pain is often caused by negative emotions such as resentment and anger, you can disperse pain if you place smoky quartz over the painful area and allow yourself to get in touch with the source of the pain. This stone helps pull the negativity down through your legs and feet and directs that energy toward the earth, which disperses it. If the body is too spaced out and needs energy, it can bring it up through the feet into the body for revitalization. Be careful when wearing smoky quartz as it can pull your energy down. To meditate on this chakra, simple lie still and focus on the color red, clear your mind and meditate on having all unwanted energies associated with this area released through you feet as if they were tree trunks connected to God's earth. Believe you are beautiful physically and have all the prosperity you need. xo

reiki
Rei - higher intelligence that guides the creation and functioning of the universe (God, Goddess, Universal Mind, Christ Consciousness; Ki - non-physical energy that flows in all living things: humans, animals, plants (prana, chi, odic forces, orgone energy, bioplasma, life force, VITAL energy is what metaphysicians call it. Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy.
The picture was taken at a center on rodeo drive in California five years ago and it gives a depiction of how important symbols and colors are to healing. We get reiki from attunements. I became a practitioner after an intensive seminar nine years ago. We are alive because of KI. It flows through all of us giving us life and responds to thoughts and feelings, hence, negativity affect our physical body and gathers strength because it hides in our unconscious mind creating blockages in our energy flow, or chi. Reiki is not a religion but compliments most religious philosophy as most have a Laying-on-of-Hands healing in their belief system. What can be healed? Everything. Each day I will describe one of the seven chakras, which means wheel or vortex and is the center of spinning energy. We receive and transmit social, sexual and spiritual energy through chakras. The first three are below the chest, the lower chakras. The heart chakra and the top three are the higher chakras. When our spirits enter our bodies, usually when the body is still in the womb, all our chakras are open and we are completely in tune with All That Is. Then life happens and so many influences affect the balance of our energy flow however reiki helps clear and balance same. I have been clearing my chakras each night for 30 nights to restore balance. I also practice reiki, which at times my energy becomes depleted. In Hindu philosophy the goal of human life is to open all the chakras, also known as the rising of the kundalini. The goal of yoga is to awaken the kundalini to rise up the spine, awakening each chakra until she reaches the crown. When you inhale, energy moves up and when you exhale, energy moves down. Through deep concentration on the breath and developing the will power, yoga teaches students to bring the breath to the central channel causing a rush of energy and a brilliant experience of cosmic consciousness often described as seeing the Pure White Light and having a sense of total identity with All That Is, or Enlightenment. I humbly thank you for allowing me to share this knowledge. Blessings xo

wisdom
The beauty of aging is remembering wisdom. Taking into account life experiences, I find it is not how difficult our situations are that makes a great person but rather how we handle all the crap the universe dishes out to us. This is what creates our essence, our self, and determines the way we continue our journey. Our perceptions and vibrational rhythmic patterns enable us to accomplish our goals providing us our sense of self worth through lessons learned, and some things we may have brought with us from past lives. How powerful it is to believe in possibilities without excuses. Wayne Dyer has some inspiring public service seminars regarding intentions and no excuses. Innocent children are full of wisdom until environment inhibits them. Wisdom is attainable if we open our hearts to receiving grace and enlightenment simply by being still. Pay attention to how we breath. Ask and we shall receive, seek and we shall find, knock and the door will be open to us. We determine our destiny. xo

mercury retrograde
wake me up when September ends - for at that time our dear planet mercury, which rules communication, transportation, legal contracts, technology and tempers, will finally go direct and the energies will resume a less chaotic focus. Have you noticed an increase in auto accidents, people driving crazier, tempers flaring quicker, impatience and rudeness while shopping, appliances break? When mercury slows down for 3 weeks every few months, the universe goes a little haywire. We also had Saturn and Uranus in a confrontation the middle of this month. This is the month to wait, not initiate. No big purchases for appliances, cars, homes, big gifts for we will be unsatisfied with same if purchased now. Legal contracts will fall through and people will fight more easily. There is always a positive to this occurrence and that is if we connect with people from our past, it will most likely be pleasant and memorable. Nature does its thing for a reason and perhaps we just need to be like the grasshopper and learn to slow down and reflect for a bit. In a few more days all will be well in the world and we can once again hurry up and wait. Meantime, tell those you love that you do. xo

st. therese the little flower
please pick me a rose from the heavenly garden and send it to me with a message of love; ask God to grant me the favor I thee implore and tell Him I will love Him each day more and more. She is my patron saint and there is a little chapel in my neighborhood honoring her life as well as a quiet place of respite for reflection and thanksgiving. This rose just bloomed and I will bring it to the statue where she holds roses and people offer their intentions. I do this quite often with special requests. She was a young woman when she died and all she ever wanted to do was be a nun and serve our Lord. My motto has been service to humanity is true spirituality. As a massage therapist what greater job is there than to make people feel good and get paid for it? xo

anticipation
My dad used to tell us kids all the time "anticipation is greater than the reality." This is due to the fact that our anxiety and restlessness before an outing probably got on his nerves. His wisdom rang true often and after many situations where the actual event was not as exciting as originally expected, disappointment set in. Nevertheless, something deep in our soul likes to get excited and anticipate upcoming visits or travels or anything our imaginations might encourage us to hope for. It's alright that the actuality is not as great as we thought, it is the constant journey and feeling of excitement that gets us through the day. This may be a childlike way to live, but it is better than pessimestically looking at a potential letdown. Ask Thumper and Pontiac (photo) if they tire of anticipating anything that may cross their path. No way. xo

linger
Let love linger a little while longer. Slowly release your embrace. Savor the sweet sensation. Hold onto the feeling of being cherished by this love. Make it last. Match your breath to hers, watching her body rise with each new one. Give him soft cuddles and gently caress his neck. Let your touch tantalize and then offer your tender kisses with a look of joy and knowing. Love and be loved. Go there. xo

autumn
Welcome new season! and new beginnings. I thought this flower from my aunt and uncle's garden was a perfect depiction of fall. Today my son's first sunflower finally bloomed. He watched and waited and tickled his buddies every day anticipating their entrance into his life. His patience and nurturing were rewarded with its vibrant beauty and so today we celebrate. It is also recognition of his recovery as he embraced God and nature through art and gardening, and sunflowers were huge in his life (no pun intended.) Today he celebrates four months of sobriety.
Congratulations my sweet boy! Smile today just as your flower does for you. Be happy. xo

simple abundance
The best things in life are not things. I came across this line twice this week and began pondering this thought. If I made a list of the best, it would not include a single materialistic item, or thing. Nope, it would be the way my dogs slug on the sofa or my sons' laughter or when my better half prepares the coffee each night. Our weather has been so beautiful lately and the flowers are still blooming. The Bears won against the super bowl champions last night. I am successfully staying healthy and my optimism never ceases. I am connecting with people from my past and learning something new every day - today was preparing a new recipe and getting rave reviews from my family. I find time to clear my chakras, give reiki, practice living for today (this one is harder than I thought) and just being still. My love doesn't cost a thing. xo

the twelve steps
I find these 12 steps could and should be followed by everyone who wants to improve their quality of life, not limited to addicts. Being a friend of Bill offers the fellowship support and hope which every person could benefit from (notice we). Bill's friend, Dr. Bob, offered a prescription for alcoholics in 1937 - simply this:
1. trust God 2. get clean 3. help others
It is Sunday, a perfect day to begin a new way of believing and living.
1. We admitted we were powerless over (insert here) - that our lives had become unmanageable. 2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understand Him.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understand Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference. Enough said. xo

prayer of st. francis
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; injury, pardon; doubt, faith; despair, hope; darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled and to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
This prayer has been my living aspiration since I was a teen many moons ago and as my days go by I come to realize (wisdom?) that by reciting and believing in this prayer, I ask the universe to vibrate this energy unto me so I can continue to connect with you. Kind of cool. It is all about peace love compassion xo

the power of now
I finally got around to reading Eckhart Tolle's books The Power of Now and A New Earth this summer which made me ponder so many changes possible with this new idea of living. Yesterday is the past, our history; tomorrow is the future, a mystery; ah but today is the present, our gift. These books are loaded with too much to reiterate. Basically each new day is an opportunity to be still and just enjoy our present moments. Another version is if we have one leg in the past, and the other in the future, then we are pissing on the present. Just for today, do not worry, do not anger, be happy and show gratitude to every living thing. xo

live laugh love
My mantra at The Goddess Touch was live life to its fullest, embracing simple moments as precious gifts, laugh alot, for this physical release brings joy to our being and love yourself and those who need it the most. I found this was harder as I forget how connected we are to each other and deserve to love and be loved. How empowering it is to diminish negativity and chaos by holding the offenders in the light with love and blessing them to their greater good. Take a breath, give your love and be happy. xo

count your blessings
We have all heard this expression sometime in our lives but consider how fulfilled we could be if we actually did this every day. My longtime friend living in Australia sent me the following years ago and it has enlightened me often. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take your breath away. Take a deep breath, exhale, be blessed. xo
